 What is Mediation?

Plymouth Mediation offers a wide range of free and helpful services to people who are in conflict with neighbours, other people at work or members of their family. We aim to help those concerned to find ways of settling their differences which are practical, long lasting and fair to both sides. 

Mediation

  • Is the chance to put forward your point of view and be listened to
  • Is Confidential
  • Allows you to make your own decisions
  • An opportunity to find a solution to a problem which everyone can accept
  • Can provide a meeting with the other party on neutral grounds
  • Can 'shuttle' and act as a go-between to put across thoughts and feelings

  • Can help to create an agreement to end the dispute

Mediation does not

  • Take sides
  • Tell you what to do
